King Abdulaziz University concluded the “Rawafed” Forum for Scholarship Preparation, organized by the Center for University Education Development, under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Tareef bin Youssef Alaama, President of the University. The closing ceremony took place on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Center’s theater, in the presence of Prof. Amin Youssef Noaman, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

 

On its second day, the forum featured a series of lectures and workshops delivered by a distinguished group of faculty members and experts. The sessions addressed a variety of relevant topics, including positive thinking for a successful scholarship journey, fostering effective relationships with academic supervisors, selecting host countries and understanding their admission systems, presenting research contributions, an introduction to scientific research and thesis writing, an overview of the Center’s services, and essential life skills for scholarship candidates.

 

In his closing remarks, Prof. Amin Youssef Noaman highlighted that Saudi Vision 2030 places significant emphasis on comprehensive development and progress, aiming to enhance the Kingdom’s global competitiveness through optimal investment in human capital. He noted that the government’s Human Capability Development initiatives are designed to strengthen national talent, and that King Abdulaziz University, alongside other academic institutions, serves as a key contributor to this vision by advancing education and reinforcing national capacity in research, development, and innovation.

 

He further emphasized that preparing academic staff through scholarship programs represents a fundamental pillar in supporting this strategic direction, fostering professional growth and shaping the next generation of university leaders.

 

At the conclusion of the forum, certificates were presented to participants preparing for internal and external scholarships, as well as those involved in joint supervision programs over the coming two years.

 

The forum aimed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of scholarship requirements and the regulations governing study abroad. It underscored the importance of thorough preparation in enhancing scholars’ performance and maximizing the academic and professional benefits of their international experience.
